My family and I have enjoyed Santa's visits for the past 43 years. I still go out and wave when he comes down the street. THANK YOU Islip Fire Dept.!

Santa’s elves would always leave extra candy canes when we lived on Cullen Ave. 😉. Have a good run Santa and his working elves better behave. 🤣🤣🤣 🌲⛄️🚒

You guys are the best. Stay safe.

Joanne Santiago

The Islip Fire Department wishes everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Please be mindful this year if frying a turkey and follow these important tips.

Do not fry near your home or under any awnings.

Make sure turkey is completely defrosted.

Never overfill the oil in the pot.

Turn gas source off prior to placing turkey in fryer.

Never spray water on an oil or grease based fire, keep an appropriate fire extinguisher handy.

Place turkey slowly into the oil.

Review the owners manual and safety instructions of your particular deep fryer prior to usage.

As always the Islip Fire Department’s volunteers are here to respond 24/7 in the event of any emergencies. For Fire or EMS dial 631-581-5882 to be connected directly to our 24/7 professional dispatchers at Islip FD Headquarters.
